As a Property Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations, leasing, and maintenance of assigned properties—while keeping an eye on the bigger picture: financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team success. You’ll lead staff, manage budgets, and make smart decisions that keep both residents and ownership smiling.
This isn’t just about keeping the lights on and the grass cut. It’s about running a property like a well-oiled business, spotting opportunities to improve, and making sure everything—from resident files to red-dot inspections—is handled with precision and professionalism.
Location: Cambridge, MA.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
What You’ll Do
- Own the numbers: Prepare, monitor, and manage annual operating budgets, rent collections, and expense approvals.
- Lead the team: Hire, train, mentor, and—when needed—make tough calls on staff performance.
- Drive results: Track rental activity, analyze market trends, and recommend adjustments in pricing, renewals, and marketing strategies.
- Deliver excellence: Oversee maintenance programs, property inspections, capital improvements, and vendor contracts.
- Be the liaison: Build strong relationships with residents, owners, boards, municipal officials, and regulatory agencies.
- Stay compliant: Ensure Fair Housing, affordable housing requirements, and company policies are followed to the letter.
- Report smartly: Prepare monthly variance reports and keep ownership informed with clear, actionable updates.
- Set the tone: Maintain a high-quality environment across the properties—clean, safe, and welcoming.
What You Bring
- 5 years of property management experience (affordable housing expertise strongly preferred).
- A solid understanding of Fair Housing laws and affordable housing regulations.
- Proven leadership and communication skills—you know how to bring out the best in people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi (bonus points if you’re a spreadsheet wizard).
- A valid U.S. Driver’s License (because site visits happen).
