This individual is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the property including unit turns. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working individually or with a team and who enjoys improving the lives of others through their work.
Our Maintenance Technicians:
- Make units rent ready in accordance with company policy: painting, cleaning and repairs as needed.
- Ensure work orders are performed timely, accurately and professionally per company policies.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships ensuring effective communication and timely scheduling, ordering proper supplies, and that vendors arrive on-site, are escorted, and complete their work in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct routine inspection of the grounds, buildings and major equipment, repairing deficiencies as required
- Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, for resident and management communication.
- Three years of prior apartment maintenance experience & building systems or trade school equivalent including familiarity with electricity, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
- Experience in computers and varying technology (preferably MS Office, Teams)
- Excellent customer service skills and willingness to assist our residents and team members.
- Flexibility, available for “on-call”, after hours emergencies as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have current driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- May need to lift up to 50 lbs, including pushing, pulling
- Able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building.
- Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
