The Property Management & Leasing team plays a vital role in maximizing the value and performance of Ventas’s real estate by overseeing the Company’s 360-property Outpatient Medical portfolio along with its dynamic Research & Innovation portfolio. Through close collaboration with healthcare providers, research institutions, and other tenants, the team ensures properties operate efficiently, deliver an exceptional tenant experience, and remain positioned to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare and research sectors.

About the Role

Ventas offers a small, high-touch Internship Program designed to give students firsthand exposure to the intersection of finance, real estate, and healthcare. Over the course of this 10-week summer program, our interns gain meaningful, hands-on experience working alongside industry professionals, while exploring potential career paths and building valuable networks in a mission-driven space.

As an Intern in Property Management & Leasing, you will work with our Outpatient Medical and Research & Innovation portfolios, gaining insight into how Ventas manages day-to-day operations, tenant relationships, and strategic initiatives that drive portfolio performance. The role provides opportunities to strengthen project management, marketing, and communication skills while contributing to initiatives that enhance efficiency, tenant experience, and brand presence across markets. Interns will contribute in the following ways: 

• Support marketing and brand-building activities across multiple markets
• Assist with projects tied to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives
• Draft and refine processes and procedures in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Prepare materials for senior leadership and company-wide meetings
• Maintain and upload documentation on the internal Ventas Connect platform
• Participate in ad hoc projects, reports, and other assignments that advance team and portfolio objectives

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a junior in a four-year accredited college or university graduating in 2027; preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate, or related fields
• Successful completion of Finance, Real Estate, or Data Analytics coursework; minimum 3.5 GPA required
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication (written and oral) skills
• Some real estate, project management or marketing experience preferred
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong technical and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Self-starter who is adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to learn
• Must be able to work full-time in Chicago for a minimum of 10 weeks during Summer 2026
• Must have permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization (no current or future sponsorship)
