Description
Liberty Apartments is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Property Manager in the daily operations of the apartment community, ensuring a smooth and efficient property management experience. You will be responsible for assisting with resident relations, leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks, all while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, or customer service is highly preferred.
- Experience with property management software is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to handle resident inquiries, concerns, and conflicts professionally and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with basic property management functions, including leasing, maintenance, and rent collection.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal housing laws and regulations is preferred.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with property management software (such as Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk the property and perform light physical tasks, including inspecting units and overseeing maintenance work.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations when necessary.
