In addition to hourly pay, Grounds Maintenance is eligible for monthly commissions!

Performs light maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. Assists with repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market ready status. Works as a team participant along with the maintenance staff to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by the Company.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Trade school and/or military training a plus. One to two years verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience is preferred. The ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail is required.
All common hand tools, including but not limited to screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc. Hand tools normally used in construction, maintenance or landscaping, such as lawnmower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, etc. Other power tools including, but not limited to, power floor cleaner, carpet shampoo machine, power drain cleaner, chain saw and key machine. Motorized vehicles. Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with auto insurance required. May be required to be certified to use pool chemicals depending on the location.
Inside and outside work in all types of weather. Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting to a maximum of 100lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50lbs. Good eye/hand coordination is essential. Color perception, the ability to differentiate colors in terms of hue, and the ability to identify a particular color or color combination from memory is required. Must be able to life and work heavy equipment and utilize a ladder as required.

While you are on the job or at an industry or company sponsored function, GWR Management expects you to wear clothing and accessories that are appropriate in a professional business environment. If a uniform is required at the property, you are expected to wear it. Refer to the GWR Management General Appearance Guidelines in the Employee Handbook for additional information.
