A Grounds Supervisor with Bell acts under the direction of the Chief Engineer/Director of Maintenance. The responsibilities will include the daily upkeep of the property, buildings, and grounds to ensure the cleanliness of the community.

What you’ll do to make a difference:
- Ensure the community and its grounds are in good repair and provide a safe and attractive environment for residents
- Ensure properties have a uniform landscaped look by having all buildings clear of debris, including common areas and through breezeways of buildings
- Ensure proper care is taken for plants and flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs by applying fertilizer and insecticides and utilizing pest control equipment
- Ensure compliance with procedures for the basic maintenance of tools and equipment such as lubricating, sharpening, replacing broken handles, making simple adjustments, and repairs
- Ensure safety by determining when to shovel snow and spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup
- Ensure that all staff follows all safety/OSHA requirements
- Maintain the integrity of OSHA logs and maintain/update MSDS as needed
- Support various renovation activities
- Regular attendance and punctuality
What you bring to our team:
- Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
- Minimum 18 years of age
- BA/BS in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years grounds keeping experience in a multi-family environment
- 3+ years of landscaping experience
- Customer focus and good time management
- HVAC/EPA certifications may be required in many communities, based on staffing levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to successfully work on a team and experience leading a team of 5+
Physical requirements of the job:
- Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 80 lbs.
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as hazardous materials
- Must be comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects
