We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential communities. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive living experience for residents by assisting with leasing, resident relations, office administration, and maintenance coordination.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in customer service who is eager to grow in the affordable housing/property management field. Prior experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors.
Respond promptly to calls, emails, walk-ins, and resident concerns with professionalism and care.
Organize and maintain office files, resident records, and compliance documentation.
Assist with processing rental applications and supporting leasing efforts.
Manage maintenance work orders and coordinate follow-ups with the facilities team.
Draft and distribute resident notices, newsletters, and general communications.
Support Section 8 and other affordable housing program tasks, including annual recertifications.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.
2–5 years of property management experience preferred, especially in affordable housing.
Candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of Section 8 and other affordable housing programs is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with Yardi software is preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Pay Range: $23–$25/hour, based on experience
Paid Time Off: 15 days annually
